Senior CAD Technician- Highways South East, UKSalary: £25 - 30KMy client is one of the largest Engineering consultancies and has plans to double it's technical capability in the next 5 years- could you be part of this expansion? An excellent opportunity for an established CAD technician with a background in highways design to join my client in a lovely south-east location with excellent communications into London, the south coast and the south-west. Key accountabilities include technical CAD input to highways design and possible additional design capabilities within infrastructure and drainage. You will undertake design functions largely within CAD to local authority and national highway standards with the ability to utilise technician resources within the team to ensure achievement of project outputs. The overall delivery of quality of drawing outputs from the team will become your responsibility. Liaison and communication with internal departments in relation to projects is essential, as is liaison and communication with the immediate team. In addition you will have to consider the wider implications of the project. Your CAD expertise is essential as you will form the key technical hub for this team and some MX experience is also desirable. Proficient with drawing production associated with highway alignment design and an understanding of development design, development site issues, highway drainage design, S38 and S278 would be an advantage.
