Risk Assessor East Anglia, UKSalary: £18 - 28KMy client carries out both research and advisory work for government agencies and consultancy for commercial clients, focusing on environmental risk assessments of pesticides, veterinary products, biocides and general chemicals. They are now looking for a junior risk assessor to join their Cambridge Environmental Behaviour and Risk Assessment team. The post holder duties will include conducting environmental risk assessments for a range of different chemical types, in accordance with technical requirements. Utilising relevant guidance documents and modelling tools (e.g. FOCUS models, EUSES, ESDs etc.) in order to determine, and where appropriate refine, estimates of environmental exposure. The post requires high quality risk assessment reports to be produced. You should have a degree background in a scientific discipline related to environmental sciences. Experience in environmental fate and behaviour of chemicals and familiarity with data analysis and modelling principals is essential.
