Environmental Advisor Flexible, UKSalary: £30 - 35KMy client is a leading multi disciplinary contractor providing a diverse range of construction services within the Building, Civil Engineering, Rail and Highway sectors. They are currently seeking an Environmental Adviser to assist in the co-ordination of all activities relating to the implementation, development and maintenance of the firm's Environmental Management System at sites throughout the West Midlands. You will be responsible for providing environmental advice in relation to all of the organisation's activities, and will assist the Senior Environmental and Quality Manager in monitoring and facilitating company compliance to the Environmental Management System and ISO14001 requirements. In addition the Environmental Adviser will train staff in documented environmental procedures and will co-ordinate and complete internal environmental inspections and audits. You should have a passion for environmental issues in the workplace and will actively promote environmental awareness and responsibility throughout the organisation. Applicants for this role should hold a relevant environmental or scientific based degree and will have previous experience gained within a construction or related environment. Previous auditing experience is required and Lead Auditor status would be beneficial. Candidates should have an understanding of the requirements for ISO14001 accreditation and should hold Associate IEMA membership.
