Senior Power Systems Engineer

Salary: £30 - 55K

A vibrant and continually growing energy consultancy that have a strategy to develop in anticipation of market drivers, whether they be economic, technical, political or environmental are looking for a senior power systems engineer to join their team.

The role is primarily for a desk based power system studies engineer within a well regarded and experience team. You will be involved in a variety of projects which include: Generation project connections, Utility network reinforcement studies, Project feasibility studies, Strategic power system analysis and supporting wind project and installation teams. There is also the opportunity for you to develop and be responsible the power systems team.

You should have experience in some or all of the following: Loadflow and contingency analysis, Control system design and analysis, EMT analysis, Power electronics and HVDC, Knowledge of QA systems and document management.

A broad knowledge of electrical engineering ranging from communications, hardware, software, control systems and power systems is a must. Knowledge of IPSA, PSSE, PSLF, C++, C. VBA is advantageous.
