Electrical Engineer

The role is based within the ME&E team in the Glasgow office working on various nuclear and power business group projects. Responsible for electrical design, PID’s, PFD’s, control philosophy writing, controls interface design and specification writing, internal and external lighting design, HV & LV system design.

The principal duties will be:

• to design electrical systems
• Lighting design
• to design cable routes and systems
• to design ELV, LV and HV systems
• to design and specify control panel interface systems
• to assist with the senior electrical engineer / team leader

The ideal candidate should possess and be able to demonstrate the following skills and knowledge.

• Knowledge of nuclear industry design procedures
• Knowledge of Electrical design principles
• Knowledge of control panel design
• Knowledge of PID drawing design
• Organised and systematic
• Good team player with an ‘easy to get on with’ personality
• Willingness to work flexible hours to meet peaks and troughs in work load

Minimum qualification would be HND in a relevant disipline, however a BSc or BEng is more suited to the role, the candidate will need to have a demonstrable track record in the power & nuclear industry.

A sound and relevant track record in a similar role within the civilian or military nuclear industry would be most advantageous for this position
