Asbestos Surveyor/Analyst

Our client is based in central London and a requirement exists for an Asbestos Technologist (Surveyor/Analyst) to carry out on-site asbestos surveys and airborne fibre monitoring. There may be possibilities for involvement in other works such as diesel and dust monitoring.

Qualifications:

• BOHS P402 Building Surveys and Bulk Sampling of Asbestos (essential);
• BOHS P403 Asbestos Fibre Counting (PCN) (preferable);
• BOHS P404 Air Sampling & Clearance Testing of Asbestos (preferable);
• Minimum Degree in science subject such as Environmental Science or Chemistry (highly preferable)

Experience: (essential):

Asbestos surveying in accordance with HSE document MDHS 100, preferably in engineering environments

Reassurance, leak & personal airborne fibre monitoring, 4 Stage Reoccupation Assessments.

Experience (advantageous):

Previous experience of working on London Underground sites.

Due to the nature of the contracts, you will be required to work night shifts.

Brief:

Site surveys (generally night work plus a minimum of one weekend in four)

Liaising with Contractors and Clients on site

Writing technical reports

Requirement:

• be fit to carry out on-site testing where equipment may need to be carried,
• be flexible
