Principal EIA Consultant Cambridge £36K - £43K
This is an opportunity for an experienced EIA Manager to develop their career and play a leading role in the development of a new Cambridge office through a variety of established frameworks and opportunities in both the public and private sectors.
The work will involve leading the preparation of scoping reports and environmental statements (ESs) for an exciting portfolio of EIA projects covering a variety of business sectors; much of the EIA work is for high profile clients. In addition, a key aspect of your work will be to develop business in the field of EIA, both with new and existing clients. For candidates with a technical specialism in one of the topics that is covered by EIA, the job will include direction of the work carried out on this topic as part of the preparation of scoping reports and ESs.
You will play an important part in the growth of the team through the pursuit of business opportunities with both existing and new clients. This will involve the management of client relationships and the preparation of proposals and bids. This is a permanent staff position with the opportunity to establish and grow a sustainable team and the potential to develop your Project Management skills.
Experience required in directing the preparation of scoping reports and ESs - or at least managing the preparation of large/complex ESs; and · client liaison and business development (not only preparing tenders but also more pro-active BD).
You will preferably also have experience in leading the preparation of one of the technical chapters that need to be included in ESs. Experience within a consultancy environment is a distinct advantage although may not be essential for the right candidate. You should be able to demonstrate an ability to undertake or apply yourself to business development activities.
