This is an exciting opportunity to join the Special Projects team within our clients Planning and Environmental Appraisal group. You will offer project management skills, an ability to think strategically and experience gained in a relevant discipline.

Your background might be in estate management, surveying, architecture, planning, design or engineering. You will be comfortable working in a multi-disciplinary environment and often outside your core discipline. The principal role is to assist in the support to estate-related projects on the MoD estate. Support ranges from environmental surveys (using in-house experts) to major strategic land use option studies. Typically these would include the consideration of whole life costs, environmental, operational and sustainability evaluation criteria. They also provide support and advice to the MoD in relation to estate issues in major equipment procurement projects as well as PFI and PPPs. The latter includes design reviews, preparation of contract documentation and contract negotiations.

With an expanding workload our Client requires assistance in taking projects through all stages of the procurement process; a challenging role offering interest, variety and career progression to the right candidate. There will be opportunities for project management and technical involvement in a wide range of projects across the UK.

This is a permanent staff position with attractive benefits and a salary that is negotiable depending upon your levels of experience in this sector. You will be required to undergo security vetting and need to have been resident in the UK for at least three years.

You will ideally hold a post graduate professional qualifications (Institute membership or equivalent) in an estate-related or relevant discipline

You will have demonstrable consultancy experience in your technical field. You will also be able to demonstrate a track record in project management ideally involving multi disciplinary teams.

Appointment may be considered at other career grades depending upon experience.
