The role will include working on Landscape and Visual Impact Assessments
for a variety of schemes including quarries, opencast coal sites, waste
management facilities, and wind farms.
You will be designing and detailing site restoration plans, undertaking
3D landform analyses, assisting on EIAs, producing aftercare management
plans for agricultural, heathland, grassland, forestry and wetland habitats,
producing presentation plans and leaflets, making woodland grant
applications and producing landscape works/maintenance contract
specifications.
The role will suit someone working towards full chartered status.
The successful applicant will ideally:
- Be at least a Licentiate Member of the Landscape Institute and have at
least 3 years of working as a landscape architect or in a similar role.
- Have good experience at using AutoCAD and Photoshop (or similar
software) ;
- Have an interest in native flora and be keen to develop skills in
relation to this (e.g. hedgerow surveys);
- Be able to undertake tree surveys to BS5837:2005 (advantageous).
