An excellent opportunity to develop a career in noise and
vibration within a large multi-disciplinary consultancy in the Midlands and East
Anglia. We are looking for talented and enthusiastic people to join an acoustics
team working on an interesting and varied range of projects. Our client will
consider appointing at either Consultant or Assistant Consultant level,
depending on experience. As an Assistant Consultant your responsibilities will
include on site noise and vibration monitoring; initial data analysis and
reporting duties. There may be an element of Client contact on site. As a
Consultant in addition to the above, your responsibilities would also include
project management and increased client liaison.
You should have a First Degree in Acoustics or a related
field and ideally you have some fieldwork experience and an understanding of
noise legislation, guidance and software required for Noise Assessments or
Environmental Statements. Consideration will also be given to applications from
individuals with more limited experience, particularly for the Assistant
Consultant level post. Skills in noise modelling packages, CAD or GIS would be
beneficial as would a willingness to study towards the Institute of Acoustics
Diploma would be advantageous
You will need to demonstrate the ability to work flexibly
with minimal supervision and will need clear and concise report writing skills
allied to a good understanding of acoustics. A full driving licence is
essential.
