This is a noise specialist role with one of the UK's most
rapidly expanding consultancies. The successful candidate will need to lead and
extend the noise team to satisfy an increasing workload within the noise
assessment/modelling field.
Key parts of the role will include the preparation and
co-ordination of full noise and vibration assessments from industrial and
infrastructure developments. This will include designing, organising and
undertaking noise surveys, modelling of predicted noise emissions and
recommendation of appropriate mitigation options. It would be preferable if the
incumbent also had some PPC/EIA experience to support work within these fields.
Key areas of industrial experience could include pharmaceutical facilities, oil
and gas sector, food industry, chemical sector, waste management, paper and pulp
and the power industry.
Your key responsibilities will include:

Provide leadership and development of noise services within
the Infrastructure.

Responsible for designing, undertaking and reporting of
noise surveys, noise assessments, and predictions and for recommending
appropriate mitigation options.

Providing a point of contact within Jacobs Infrastructure
on noise and vibration issues and developing both internal and external
clients with a view to extending the noise and vibration business in general.

Responsible for building a successful noise and vibration
team within the existing environmental division.

Responsible for technical review of noise and vibration
reports and of noise and vibration components of EIAs, PPC applications etc.

Responsible for preparing technical and financial input to
proposals for Noise and Vibration assessment work.
You will have noise assessment/modelling experience in an
industrial, consultancy or regulatory background along with experience of PPC,
EIAs and planning noise and vibration assessments regulated industrial sector,
environmental consultancy or Local Authority. A relevant degree is also
essential. Membership of the IOA is required.
