wide range of projects through its in-house team of archaeologists in Stafford.
Typically the workload involves desk assessments and the preparation of bespoke
chapters for Environmental Impact Assessments for proposed new developments,
including minerals and waste sites, windfarms and commercial/residential
property construction projects. The team also commissions and manages intrusive
archaeological investigations.
As part of their continuing growth they ar seeking to appoint
a Principal Archaeologist to lead the in-house team or 3 archaeologists. You
will therefore need to have a track record in project delivery and management
with respect to a diverse range of projects. The ability to inspire and motivate
people and be able to develop new business opportunities will be important
skills, and although direct experience of staff management is not necessarily
required, it would be an advantage. You will also need to have excellent
communication and negotiation skills and be enthusiastic about the prospect of
working in a multi-disciplinary environment that provides an excellent
opportunity for technical development and career progression. You are likely to
have 6 years+ post-graduate experience with a track record of success in the
public or private sectors.
