An excellent opportunity to develop a career in noise and
vibration within a large multi-disciplinary consultancy. Continued success in
securing a diverse range of environmental commissions has created an opportunity
for acoustics specialists to complement the existing team of acoustics staff.
You are likely to have a strong technical background in leading and project
managing environmental noise & vibration assessments for a wide range of
development proposals. Typical projects include renewable energy, property,
infrastructure, transport, minerals and waste studies. You will have a problem
solving and client-centred approach and be able to demonstrate where you have
added value to your clients' development aspirations.
You will have experience along with a strong technical
background in noise and vibration and experience of assisting in or leading the
noise/vibration inputs to EIAs for a wide range of developments. You will need
to be proficient in the use of large area noise modelling packages, preferably
LIMA, whilst additional experience in GIS or CAD would be beneficial. They will
be looking for evidence of your personal input when working with clients and
colleagues to develop successful, client focussed solutions. A detailed
knowledge of noise/vibration Standards and legislation will be essential as will
knowledge of key factors influencing different technical topics. Corporate
membership of the Institute of Acoustics is desirable. Additional experience in
workplace noise/vibration assessments and building acoustics work would also be
beneficial. You should have a genuine interest in developing a career in
acoustics. A full driving licence is essential.
