This leading environmental global consultancy is seeking ambitious ecologists to join a team based in St Ives. The right candidate will be experienced and will share a focused philosophy of delivering high quality professional consultancy services. All applicants should have at least relevant professional experience, a degree in an appropriate ecology or environmental science discipline, an understanding of applying ecological principles, the ability to write clearly and concisely, and be able to communicate effectively.

Specifically they looking for an experienced Botanist with:

• Extensive experience of carrying out botanical surveys on a range of habitat types;

• A sound knowledge and field experience of a variety of habitat types and the characteristic flora associated with these;

• Proven field experience of undertaking Phase 1 Habitat Surveys, with experience of NVC surveys preferable, and good demonstrable botanical identification skills, including identifying grasses in their vegetative form.

Competency with a range of standard computer software is essential for this position and experience of GIS is also desirable. A full driving licence is necessary for this position.

Salary and grade will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
