This leading environmental global consultancy is seeking
ambitious ecologists to join a team based in Cambridge. The right candidate will
be experienced and will share a focused philosophy of delivering high quality
professional consultancy services. All applicants should have at least relevant
professional experience, a degree in an appropriate ecology or environmental
science discipline and an understanding of applying ecological principles. You
should be an ambitious botanist, motivated to a make a difference.
The ideal candidate will have:

demonstrable commitment to botany, e.g. through membership
of BSBI and attendance at field meetings;
-
some experience of botanical survey; experience of Phase 1
Habitat Surveys desirable;
-
proven aptitude for identifying plants and a good basic
knowledge of British vascular flora;

an interest in aquatic plant identification and survey;
-
a degree or appropriate qualification in a relevant ecology
or environmental science discipline, and an understanding of applying
ecological principles, and
-
the ability to write clearly and concisely, and be able to
communicate effectively.
You will need to be based in the Cambridgeshire office and be
willing to travel and occasionally be away from home for extended periods to
undertake field surveys.
Competency with a range of standard computer software is
essential. A full driving licence is essential.
Salary and grade will be commensurate with experience and
qualifications. The position offers 24 days holiday per year. Group personal
pension scheme after successful completion of 3-month probation, Group life
assurance scheme. Use of pool car for field survey work.
