Landscape Architect
ŁNEG
Manchester,
UK
This large environmental consultancy is looking for several landscape
architects to help with project work progressing over the next 6 months.
In all cases they need good report writing skills and, for anyone with
over 3 years experience, it must include landscape and visual impact
assessments (LVIA) for major infrastructure projects. Your experience must
be UK based, as they need good awareness of their EIA regulations and best
practice. For people with less experience they would want good working
knowledge of the main graphics programmes - AutoCAD, Sketchup, Photoshop or
similar.
Their current projects are mainly landscape and visual assessment with
some design working - hopefully increasing as projects progress. Their
projects include the Severn Estuary SEA for tidal power options, a college
campus design, LVIA for various types of projects including a science park,
wind farms, Energy from Waste power stations, Park & Ride schemes, various
highways schemes etc. Work is generated from a number of long running
frameworks so they are reasonably confident in continuity - as sure as they
can be at present, and their main in-house providers of work are their
architects and engineers.
The team was set up about 1 year ago and there is a lot of scope for
career development for the right candidates. Salary and flexible benefits
packages will be good, as expected from a large company, and will be based
on each individual's experience.
