Sustainability Consultant

The role will involve working within multi-discipline teams and sometimes alone, supported by close colleagues. Duties will range from project managing small projects with a sustainability focus, to providing particular expertise to larger projects. This will include development and construction advice to clients, including leading business and public sector organisations and producing sustainability statements for EIA’s. You will also provide sustainable design advice to teams involved with master planning projects and urban regeneration; input to sustainability assessments/appraisals, assistance with client and stakeholder workshops and provide support to Eco-Footprinting and Carbon-Footprinting analysis.

You will ideally hold a First degree in an Engineering discipline, and a second degree in Environmental/Sustainability topic. You should be working towards Chartered status via recognised professional institution membership (IEMA, CIWEM, etc.).

Experience of providing sustainable design advice to teams involved with master planning building projects and urban developments is essential (a specialism such renewable energy analysis would be useful);

You will have a proven background in sustainability and a high level of Understanding of Eco/Carbon-Footprint tools and techniques as well as the ability to think ‘outside the box’ with a high focus on technical excellence.

You should have the ability to work under pressure and to meet strict deadlines. You will have excellent planning, organisational and time management skills and be able to turn your hand to other work when the opportunities arise
