This international consultancy are Engineers, Architects, Consultants and
Environmental Scientists with over 4000 professionals operating world-wide.
They are currently seeking to recruit a Senior Dam Expert to join their busy
team in Nijmegen.
At present, their Advisory Group International Water Resources & Ecology
integrates 18 professionals working on projects worldwide. In a global
context where the demands on water and environment become more and more
interwoven and conflicting, they advise and guide their clients on the
technical, institutional, environmental and economic aspects of integrated
water resources management. The advisory group focuses on i) flood
prevention and mitigation, ii) drought prevention and relief, iii) urban
drainage and iv) (multipurpose) dams. Their multidisciplinary approach
yields tailor-made solutions, embedded in the specific local conditions.
Being a key expert on dams, there will be a strong demand on your
in-depth knowledge and experience in dam engineering. Moreover, you will be
challenged on your creativity, flexibility and (cultural) adaptability.
Their clients expect you to fully internalize their challenges and to
deliver the desired output in time and to the highest quality standards. As
an expert, you mostly work in teams, especially in the home office. Abroad,
you either reinforce the local project setting, or you manage to operate on
your own if required. Frequent travel for short or longer periods is
inherent in your professional life within the company. You share your
expertise with younger civil engineers and train them on the job.
You are an internationally recognized expert on design and
construction of earth- and rock-fill dams:
- Part of your experience lies with dams for hydro-power generation:
- You have a relevant international network within the field of
expertise:
- You have well-developed communicative and commercial skills:
- You have strong reporting and budgeting abilities:
- You are proficient in speaking, reading and writing the Dutch, English
and French language:
- You are ambitious, independent and persistent:
- You are willing to work abroad for both short and longer periods.
You will hold an academic Masters degree in Civil Engineering, followed
by relevant working experience in consultancy, mainly in dam engineering.
You have a substantial and relevant track record in working abroad.
