BBT Norway are working with an international Oil and Gas service provider / Consultancy boasting both a global presence and the goal of becoming the Energy Sectors leading ‘Total Solutions’ provider, thus playing a key role in solving future energy challenges in both the Hydrocarbon and Alternative energy arenas.

The company has expanded and evolved significantly through organic growth and strategic mergers and now operates a global business in locations such as London, Aberdeen and Edinburgh in the UK. Furthermore international locations include the UAE, Norway, Australia, Malaysia, Russia and New Zealand.

The role on offer in Stavanger is as a stand-alone Technical Senior Petrophysicist to become a client facing, technical expert for the company's portfolio of assets in Norway.

The position of Senior Petrophysicist has arisen due to movement of internal staff and business growth, and is offering excellent career potential and growth for the right candidate.

The successful candidate will acquire and evaluate the primary well data for subsurface reservoirs and will be critical at every stage in the life cycle, from exploration through appraisal and development to production management. As part of a multi disciplinary team constructing 3D models of the target reservoirs and interpret petrophysical data in order to predict the hydrocarbon flow potential of the rocks.

It is expected that the successful candidate will be Degree educated or higher (MSc or PhD preferred), will possess excellent communication skills including Client facing experience and he/she will be energetic, motivated and ideally would have gained some experience working in Norway. A strong team player with the ability to multi task and attention to detail would be a desirable candidate.
