Job Description
An opportunity for a senior / principal process engineer to move into the waste management industry and away from consultancy.
A national role providing cost effective effluent treatment solutions within the treatment division of this waste management company. Initially the focus will be on leachate and moving onto liquid residues arising from treatment processes (eg composting).
Responsible for delivering new effluent treatment plant sites across the UK, you will be undertaking feasibility studies, negotiating with Regulatory authorities to secure permissions for discharge routes, selecting appropriate treatment technologies and tendering and delivering the plants. You will also act as internal expert for troubleshooting existing plants.
The ideal candidate will be a process engineer with leachate experience, and project management experience. Somebody with person management skills would be ideal.
Heading a small team, the candidate will need to be able to travel to Birmingham 2 days a week but can be based from Telford or Birmingham offices the other days. Although the role is office based it will involve travelling to sites across the UK including nights away.
There is a company car and fuel card provided or car allowance along with an excellent benefits package including pension and healthcare.
