Job Description
A prestigious waste management company with an excellent reputation throughout the UK for both hazardous and non hazardous waste management has an opening for a hazardous waste drum chemist.
The role will suit a chemistry graduate (or minimum HND level or equivalent) who has some experience or knowledge of the UK hazardous waste industry, including all current legislations.
You will report to the senior site chemist, and be involved in a range of activities including:
Lab pack jobs
Waste reception and inspection
Process Management
Training apprentices
Producing reports
An ADR license is essential for this role, although training could be provided for the right candidate. You must be able to work independently and be comfortable both in lab based and field based work.
