General Manager, Landfill Operational

A new senior management role within one of the UK's leading waste management companies. You will be responsible for managing an operational and several closed landfill sites throughout the county.

Responsibilities include sampling and monitoring of leachate and landfill gas emissions; Landfill Engineering; and operational issues on all the sites. Liasing regularly with the council and 3rd party subcontractors, you will also be managing a small team directly so excellent interpersonal skills are required.

Technical knowledge of landfill operations and engineering will be used in developing the sites further, and you will also be responsible for fiscal budgets and ensuring QHSE standards are met.

Previous experience at management level in the waste industry is essential, and due to the travel involved you will also need a full clean driving license.
