Leading Civil Engineering Contractor based in
Leeds are looking to recruit an Engineering Geologist who is looking for a
challenging role and progression and senior level.
The Role
- Setting up, supervising, logging, managing
and reporting site investigation contracts that require an
engineer/geologist of this grade to be on site.
- Manage subcontractors and junior staff
(where relevant) on site including technical and health and safety and
environmental aspects
- Liaison with client, engineer, third parties
and the general public during site works
- Assist with site investigation proposals and
budget estimates
- Quality checking logs and factual reports
generated by others prior to issue to the client
- Checking and approving health and safety
documentation for site works (Senior role only)
- Client liaison for day to day aspects of
site investigation projects
- Assist with training other staff where
relevant
Qualifications and Experience
The ideal candidate should have experience with
a ground investigation contractor including some contracts on live Highways
Agency managed roads. You should have experience of managing projects from
start to finish, and have proven experience of mentoring/training junior
members of staff.
