These positions are in the Earth System Modeling Program within the Centre for Australian Weather and Climate Research (CAWCR) at the Bureau of Meteorology. The occupants will be part of a team whose activities include development of mesoscale assimilation and prediction systems in support of Bureau of Meteorology forecasts and applications.
Doppler Radar Scientist - will be responsible for advancing the assimilation of Doppler radar wind data within the Bureau's mesoscale numerical weather prediction systems (Ref: 11286)
Mesoscale Atmospheric Modeller - This position will be responsible for assessing and extending the atmospheric model for use in mesoscale applications (Ref: 11287)
Radar Errors Scientist - This position will be responsible for characterising the observation errors of the Bureau's radar network for use within numerical weather prediction.(Ref: 11288)
Radar Reflectivity Scientist - This position will be responsible for advancing the assimilation of radar reflectivity data within the Bureau's mesoscale numerical weather prediction systems (Ref: 11289)
