The climate dynamics group at ETH Zurich (Switzerland) invites applications for postdoctoral positions. A broad range of research in atmosphere dynamics relevant to Earth's climate can be supported. Topics may include the large-scale dynamics of the extratropical atmosphere, including the hydrological cycle; dynamics of the tropical atmosphere, including the Hadley circulation and controls on tropical precipitation; and cloud and boundary layer dynamics. The focus will be on fundamental questions that have the potential to advance our understanding of how Earth's climate is maintained and how it may vary.

Applicants are expected to have a PhD in the atmospheric or oceanic sciences, in fluid dynamics, in physics, or in a related field by the time of the appointment. Experience with numerical models of fluid flows is desirable.
