Sales Manager - Singapore Office


The Company

Fugro Global Environmental and Ocean Sciences (GEOS) is the world's foremost provider of commercial meteorological and oceanographic (metocean) measurement, assessment and consulting services, with offices located around the globe. The Company is part of the multi-national Fugro Group that provides a complete range of integrated geotechnical, environmental, survey and positioning services worldwide.

The Position

This role is within the Regional Division of Fugro GEOS Pte Ltd, based in the Singapore office. The sales manager will be responsible for developing new business opportunities and growing the existing customer base in SE Asia. This will include increasing sales revenue and maintain good rapport with clients through regular sales visits, active follow-up to tenders, gathering and monitoring of market information and preparing sales plans to meet targets.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for business development, sales and marketing for the Measurement, Weather Forecasting, Consultancy and Structural Monitoring divisions in SE Asia in consultation with the existing Systems divisional Sales Manager and Divisional Managers.
  • Undertaking sales visits to clients in Singapore and other ASEAN countries in line with the Prospects & Sales Leads identify in your quarterly report and quantifying and promoting the advantages of Fugro GEOS services and track record to potential clients.
  • Filing in and completing sales visit report forms and collating the monthly sales visit report statistics.
  • Develop a good working knowledge of the market, clients, competitors and prices.
  • Produce a quarterly report with an up-to-date spreadsheet on all regional Prospects - by country & clients.
  • Produce a quarterly report on all the Divisions competitors offering services in SE Asia and Australia, and develop a knowledge of their characteristics, strengths and weaknesses
  • Assisting the Commercial Manager and/or Divisional Manager with tender preparations in the correct Fugro Tender/Report format.
  • Follow up submitted quotations, assist with contractual negotiations and contracts awards in support of the Divisional Managers and/or the Regional Director.
  • Meet and liaising with other Fugro OPCO's and attending the quarterly cross divisional Marketing Meetings
  • Assisting with regional Fugro exhibition stands and updating Fugro GEOS marketing materials, track records, etc in conjunction with the Fugro GEOS UK head office.

Financial Responsibilities:

  • Statistical analysis of sales visit to tenders received for the SE Asian Region, for the monthly report for UK Head office.
  • Assisting with sales projections, quarterly sales revenue, forecasts, annual report and annual budgeting with the Divisional Managers and Regional Director

Principal Working Relationships:

Part of the Management Team responsible for developing all aspects of Fugro GEOS business opportunities in SE Asia. Plus co-ordination of sales activities with the sales management team in the UK and Houston offices.

Requirements

The candidate should possess the following criteria:

  • A university degree in Business Development related discipline
  • A minimum of 5 year working for a service company dealing with offshore oil and gas clients
  • Good command of English (written & oral)
  • Excellent communication skills with all levels
