Tenure Track Assistant Professor in Atmospheric
greenhouse gas studies
The Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences has a vacancy for a Tenure Track position (level Assistant Professor) in Atmospheric Greenhouse Gas Studies in the Energy and Sustainability Research Institute Groningen, at the Centre for Isotope Research (CIO).
The candidate is expected to strengthen the present atmospheric research group of the CIO, directed to greenhouse gases and related tracers. Her/his experience and innovative ideas, both in assuring excellent data quality and in the application of the data and the interaction with modelling, should maintain the group as a leading international research group in this field. She/he has to be able to base the work to a large extent on external funding. She/he is an excellent teacher who can motivate students of different disciplines and will develop new courses on specific topics about this subject in the BSc and the MSc programmes. Teaching duties include the supervision of bachelor, master and PhD students.
