ICCSIR is a non-profit, section-25, public-private partnership organization for climate and societal impacts research, education, and applications. It is located in the Ahmedabad Education Society campus in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. Access to state-of-the-art models, data sets, and computing facilities are available. ICCSIR invites applications for a permanent faculty position in mesoscale weather modeling and prediction with models such as Weather Research and Forecasting (WRF); and climate analysis, modeling, and prediction. Candidates must have a Ph.D. degree, should have the ability to thrive in an interdisciplinary environment, and should be capable of developing and leading a research group. A demonstrated ability to obtain grants is desirable. Responsibilities also include teaching at the post-graduate level, guiding students, and contributing to ICCSIR's education and outreach programs.

Starting position at the assistant or associate professor level; salary; and fringe benefits will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. The appointment in this position will begin on or about 1 February 2012.
