Climate Impacts Scientist (Russia)



Based in Exeter & Russia (Roshydromet)

The Met Office Hadley Centre is one of the world's leading centres for climate change research. You will be part of the Climate Impacts Team, which assesses the impacts of climate change on ecosystems, agriculture, hydrology and the human environment.

You will lead our role in a project for the Foreign and Commonwealth Office, providing state-of-the-art advice on climate change and its impacts in Russia. Your research will include the sustainability and carbon balance of Russian soils, agriculture and ecosystems.

You will be a strong collaborator with good inter-personal skills, a degree in a relevant subject and experience in climate research.

This is a high-profile role with the opportunity for international travel. Presenting results to non-scientific audiences and communicating with customers and stakeholders will be an important part of your job.
