Job Title: Manager, Forecast Centre
Reports To: Director, Meteorology

Description:
This position is responsible for the operations of the Pelmorex Forecast Centre in Oakville, the management and coaching of the Forecast Centre meteorologists and the oversight of the meteorological tools and forecasting interfaces used.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily management and operation of the 24/7 Pelmorex Forecast Centre, ensuring high quality forecast information is output to Pelmorex consumer platforms and commercial clients
- Lead and motivate the Forecast Centre team through ongoing coaching and timely performance feedback, fostering Pelmorex values and cooperation with the entire meteorology group and internal clients
- Develop clear performance objectives and professional development plans for Forecast Centre meteorologists
- Provide meteorological expertise on an as-needed basis to other departments, effectively communicating both the value and practical limitations of weather forecast information
- Monitor and ensure quality of meteorological information/products on Pelmorex platforms, particularly as related to the forecast and consultation operation

Qualifications:
- A relevant Bachelor of Science degree in Atmospheric Science/Meteorology
- 2 - 5 years of experience with managing direct reports
- Operational meteorology experience
- Advanced MS Office skills
