Irreversible Climate Change Research Center (IRCC)
Postdoctoral fellows and non-tenured research professor in climate change
IRCC was estiblished on 2018 June, as a 7-year project supported by National Research Foundation of Korea.
Location: Seoul, South Korea
Irreversible Climate Change Research Center (IRCC) is recruiting a postdoctoral fellow or non-tenured research professor to conduct innovative research in irreversible climate change.
As a 7-year project supported by National Research Foundation of Korea, IRCC at Yonsei University (Seoul, Korea) is recruiting a postdoctoral fellow or non-tenured research professor to conduct research to understand the irreversible climate change due to the future global warming or paleo climate forcing, especially focusing on abrupt climate change, tipping point problem and early warning. The candidate will work with a team of scientists at IRCC to improve our understanding on irreversibility of climate system, nonlinear behavior of tipping element in a warmer climate, and dynamics of tipping point. The candidate will develop a prototype dynamical system model to understand the fundamental behavior of nonlinear climate system and its element, and analyze observations and climate model outputs.
