In order to make a difference they need more people to join
the consultancy and so are looking for an experienced Sustainability Engineer
(BREEAM Assessor) to provide a range of technical consultancy services for
their BREEAM Assessments Team based near Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire.
They are looking for committed people and in return will
commit to the following training:

Attendance on 2 BREEAM Scheme Assessor Courses (2 from a
selection of Offices, Retail, Industrial, Schools and Code for Sustainable
Homes - dependent on business requirements)

Other training as identified during your personal
development review
This Consultancy has worked hard to achieve rapid growth
over the last few years and so there are numerous opportunities to progress
your career within the organisation. The next step after this role would be to
progress to Senior Consultant, which brings with it more accountability and
project management responsibility.
The ideal candidate will have the following achieved the
following education & commercial experience:

Educated to degree level or experience within the
construction industry

The ability to effectively interpret information
-
Good presentation skills
-
Be fully conversant with Microsoft Word and Outlook
-
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
-
An interest in sustainability and environmental issues
-
Self motivated, with the ability to work autonomously,
and also enjoys working as part of a team
-
Flexible approach to work
-
Willingness to learn
-
Ability to interact at all levels with a professional,
confident and friendly attitude
-
A willingness to travel within the UK
-
Good personal presentation
-
Ability to project voice to deliver presentations
-
Previous experience of BREEAM / buildings
-
Be fully computer literate using the Microsoft Office
suite of programs
-
Have good attention to detail
-
Experience of undertaking and managing projects
-
Be highly organised with the ability to plan ahead,
prioritise work and ensure deadlines are met
This role will see you being responsible for:
-
Providing quality assurance of BREEAM Assessor reports
-
Developing & maintaining the existing BREEAM schemes
(including EcoHomes and Code for Sustainable Homes)

Providing technical advice and answering technical
enquiries
-
Delivering awareness raising and training presentations
-
Marketing and promotion of BREEAM
-
Research on new technical areas involved in building
sustainability (On occasions)
