Even though they are one of the largest providers of environmental and
engineering services in Europe, each office is run like a small business and
this definitely reflects in the way people interact with each other and the
way they approach their project work. This natural and friendly approach is
definitely one of the reasons for their success. Well enough of my ramblings
and so on to the requirements for this role. I have put these down in a formal
way as l think it reflects our client’s work ethic, friendly, professional and
detailed.
You will need to have gained the following commercial and
education experience/accreditation to be considered for this role:

A relevant degree and/or post graduate qualification or
equivalent
-
A background in either environmental sustainability
-
Expertise in two or more of the following: Sustainability
strategy development/advisory services; Sustainability appraisal; Impact
assessment (e.g. EIA, HIA, EqIA, SEA); Development of sustainability
indictors and measurement; Ecological or carbon foot printing analysis

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (both
verbal and written) and an ability to work collaboratively
-
Sound data analysis skills
-
A 'solutions-based' approach to sustainability
-
An entrepreneurial and creative approach to business
development
-
An awareness of the market and political forces impacting
on our business
The role will involve a wide and evolving variety of
tasks, including:
-
Supporting specialist teams within the group to ensure
sustainability appraisal is integrated into relevant projects
-
Helping to deliver new and evolving strategic
environmental assessment, sustainability appraisal for clients, including
advisory and appraisal services

Contributing to the development of specialist
sustainability knowledge and practice within the group
