We have worked closely with this consultancy for a number of years and can say without correction that the staff are some of the friendliest people you could hope to meet. Even though the consultancy is now one of the largest in the UK it has not lost that small team feel, which undoubtedly is the key to their success.

They are now looking for a Principal Consultant/Business Developer to identify new business opportunities within their close knit Sustainable Buildings Team, responsibilities will include, writing proposals and winning work, leading the team and delivering projects across the business with a focus on sustainable buildings.

You will need to have a proven tract record in winning work in both the public and private sector on programmes surrounding sustainability of buildings, accompanied with a strong project/programme management experience and be able to manage a budget.

Ideal candidates will have experience of sustainable buildings gained from an energy/environmental consultancy. Candidates are not expected to be a technical expert, however, a technical awareness of sustainability issues and regulations relating to buildings are essential for the bid preparation and proposal/report writing needed in this role.

It is anticipated candidates will be educated to MSc level or equivalent in a relevant buildings related subject.
