way they approach their project work. This natural and friendly approach is
definitely one of the reasons for their success. Well enough of my ramblings
and so on to the requirements for this role. I have put these down in a formal
way as l think it reflects our client’s work ethic, friendly, professional and
detailed.
The successful candidate will need to be a qualified BREEAM/
EcoHomes Assessor.
The post will be based in our client’s Cardiff office,
which provides a full range of environmental and sustainability assessment
services including:

All of the Building Research Establishments Environmental
Assessment Methods standard and bespoke schemes
-
The NHS Environmental Assessment Tool (NEAT)
-
The Schools Environmental Assessment Method (SEAM)
-
The ICE’s Civil Engineering Environmental Quality
Assessment and Award Scheme (CeeQual)
You will be required to act as a Consultant for a diverse
sector of clients/ projects including healthcare, education, defence, law and
order, regional development, and infrastructure.
The post will require undertaking any of the assessment
methods mentioned, and so you should have a sound background knowledge of the
built environment including sustainable construction processes; energy
monitoring and reduction techniques; waste reduction and recycling; air, land
and water pollution protection and ecological enhancement strategies.
Further training will be provided as necessary and
Continued Professional Development will be required.
As you would expect personal interest in sustainability
issues would be advantageous.
The following skills are essential:
Excellent report writing and presentational skills
Ability to facilitate meetings and participate in Client
presentations.
Ability to use Microsoft word, excel, access and
PowerPoint.
Ideally you should hold a recognised qualification to HNC/
HND/ degree level but of course consideration will be given to time served
experienced candidates.
Please be aware that a full clean driving license will be
required as some travel throughout England and Wales will be required as will
occasional work away from home.
