The Company

A major global E&P company. They have been ramping up North Sea production significantly and have acquired several new licences in recent times, with plans to acquire more in the near future.

The Role

You will be responsible for generating exploration and exploitation prospec ts using your geophysical and geological methods as well as getting involved with the interpretation and mapping of 2D and 3D seismic data and seismic attribute analysis. You will be involved in several key areas within the role;

- Provide geophysical input for area and well Reviews and maintain updated geophysical interpretations and maps.
- Provide geophysical input and technical assessments to prepare drilling prospects.
- The use of risk analysis and concept software
- Quality control of seismic data acquisition processing.
- Supervision of geophysical aspects of seismic data acquisition and processing.

Experience Required

-Currently working as a Geoscientist with several years experience in this area
-A strong understanding of advanced geoscience concepts, to include structural, facies and sequence stratigraphic analysis.
-Proficient in the use of geoscience software (OpenWorks/SeisWorks)
-An ability to use geophysical, geological and engineering data to the best possible advantage of the company
- Experience in performing risk/uncertainty assessments
