This company is an international energy company which focuses on the acquisition, development and exploration of Oil and Gas. They have been working since 2001 and due to a very aggressive expansion plan they have been able to become a major player in the Oil industry. They currently have interests in the North Sea as well as formidable developments in the USA. They are looking to grow the company at a good rate and see the addition of a Senior Exploration Geologist as the first steps in achieving further growth.

Role

This role is for a Senior Exploration Geologist to join the team in London to work on a number of very active North Sea projects. This company currently has a number of large field developments underway in the North Sea and they also have 3 producing fields at present. This role will have you working on play and prospect generation, evaluation of new ventures at exploration level, log evaluation and basin modelling. You will join a relatively small team in London which works very closely with the larger team in Aberdeen.

Skills and Experience

The ideal Senior Exploration Geologist will have at least 8 years of active industry experience from working with either an operator or a consultancy. You will need to have a Msc or Phd in Geology or a related subject. North Sea experience for this role is going to be essential as this company see's its expansion in this area as one of the most important parts of its future. Experience in 2D/3D software would also be useful for this role.
