Company

This company is an oil and gas operator and producer which has many worldwide assets. They have two keys areas that they want to expand into and these are the North Sea and the Middle East. This company is looking for 2 Exploration Licence Managers, one for Aberdeen and the other for Abu Dhabi. This company operates a very flat structure in which you will be able to develop and as a company they are looking at a period of steady expansion and development which will ultimately bring success to what seems like a very exciting project.

Role

This role is for an exploration licence manager to join the team in Aberdeen/Abu Dhabi. You will report directly to the exploration and growth manager and will be responsible for this company's technical quality for the exploration effort on existing licences, licence round application and farm in and farm outs. You will co-ordinate technical evaluations and be a major part of a group that focuses on future strategies on existing assets and new blocks obtained by new licence rounds. You will also have a huge amount of input into new venture opportunities and you will work closely with the G&G and subsurface managers in Aberdeen/Abu Dhabi.

Skills and Experience

The ideal candidate for this role will be a Geoscientist qualified to degree level with ideally a further qualification such as a Msc or PhD. You should have at least 8 years experience of working within the industry in a role similar to this. Experience of working within previous licencing rounds would be a distinct advantage for this role. You should also be familiar with a number of software packages and in particular experience of Monte Carlo software would be an advantage.
