Role

This company are looking for a Senior Geologist to join the team in Aberdeen to work in the new ventures/exploration group. This company are keen to add to their existing portfolio in the North Sea and they see the upcoming licence round as an important part of this company's future. The key tasks of the role will be:

Provide geological expertise to explore for hydrocarbon accumulations.
Provide support to evaluate viable exploration opportunities to add to the UK portfolio.
Lead the risk analyses assessment of any Exploration opportunity.
Help build and execute the UK business strategy
Provide presentations to management and partners etc.
Support the Full cycle assessment of opportunities in the portfolio.

Skills and Experience

The successful candidate for this role will be a Geologist who has at least 8 years of industry experience. Ideally you will have spent some time working within licence and new ventures teams and have some years of North Sea experience under your belt. You must have the ability to evaluate new opportunities at a screening level whilst providing focus on the key risks and uncertainties and be capable of implementing the appropriate level of additional work to quantify these and if possible reduce them to an acceptable level.
