Land Protection AssociateThe Columbia Land Conservancy (located in Chatham, NY) seeks a land protection associate to assist with land conservation projects, conservation easement stewardship, and mapping. Main job responsibilities will include assisting with conservation transactions, conducting site visits to conservation easement properties, producing baseline documentation reports, developing GIS maps, and database management. Potential to become lead on some conservation projects with necessary experience. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in environmental science, natural resource science, forestry, or other applicable field; advanced degree a plus. Prior experience and training may be substituted, if applicable. Must have the ability to work with diverse public and private interests, including easement landowners. Additional background in GIS mapping, land conservation, real estate transactions, natural resource science, land management, forestry, and/or best management practices a plus.
