For Harper Adams to be a premier provider of higher education for the land based industries, it is essential to have expertise to underpin our teaching provision to the land based sector. Suitable candidates should have experience of applied ecology and management of the countryside for wildlife conservation and recreation.

Candidates should also have an active interest in research and technology transfer to complement and enhance the teaching elements of the role which may, for example, involve the development of short courses or continuing professional development programmes for industry, such as the Advanced Training Partnership (ATP).

Staff are expected to contribute to the development and delivery of Employer Engagement/Work development agenda through Short Courses and CVE programmes, to seek research grants/awards and to conduct research leading to peer-reviewed academic journal articles, conference papers and articles of professional and industry-related interest.
