The Role
DICE is seeking to appoint a lecturer with expertise in biodiversity conservation and management. We are especially interested in candidates who can demonstrate an impressive research record in one or more of the following areas: plant or insect ecology and conservation or marine conservation and management. Exceptional candidates in other fields relevant to conservation may also be considered. In addition to strong research skills applicants must demonstrate the relevance and impact of their research to conservation policy and practice.
Applicants should also be capable of working with other disciplines relevant to biodiversity conservation and be able to demonstrate the relevance and impact of their research to conservation policies and objectives at national or international levels.
The Person
You will have a doctorate and/or equivalent qualification or experience in one of the fields above.

The Department
The Durrell Institute of Conservation and Ecology (DICE) is part of the School of Anthropology and Conservation. DICE has an international reputation for its interdisciplinary approach to teaching and research in biodiversity conservation with a strong emphasis on capacity building and practical impact.
Currently there are 8.25 full-time academic and 3 research staff together with 6 support staff, 40 registered research students, 25 taught postgraduate students, and 85 undergraduate students.
