Senior Lecturer/Readership in Animal Ecology

We now wish to appoint a Senior Lecturer/Reader in Animal Ecology who will lead and develop new initiatives to strengthen our presence in community ecology and ecosystems research; share our passion for providing a high quality learning experience for students and contribute to developing good practice through curriculum development at undergraduate and postgraduate level. Applicants are expected to have a PhD together with an excellent track record of research funding and publications aligned to the School's interests in one or more of the following areas: Animal ecology, Biodiversity, Evolutionary Biology or Ecosystem Function, which would allow submission to the REF in 2013.
Preference will be given to candidates who can demonstrate a multidisciplinary approach to their research including aspects such as spatial analyses, mapping phenotypic traits or community interactions. As such, they will become part of our Ecosystems and Environment Research Centre.
