design consultancy, providing expertise to help resolve complex challenges
presented by the built and natural environment. They require a Head of Business
for their Renewable Energy division. Reporting to the Director of Power, the
Head of Business will manage teams based in Leeds, Oxford, Birmingham and
Glasgow and can be based at any of these locations.
Responsibilities in this role:
- As Head of Business, you will be required to
lead, develop and grow the £multi-million Renewable energy consultancy
business.
- Develop our clients capability in renewable
technologies and energy/carbon management
- Prepare and implement strategic business plans
to achieve business objectives
- Identify and prioritise significant growth
opportunities
- Lead business development initiatives targeted
at major clients and prospects
- Implement effective client relationship
management
- Identify and develop working relationships
with other businesses divisions with overlap in carbon and renewables
- Provide leadership for a diverse range of
professionals in multiple locations the UK
- To be part of the management team with
specialist responsibilities to support the wider Energy business
- Recruitment, development and management of
staff
- Profit and Loss account management

Skills and Experience required:
- Qualified to Degree level in a relevant
Science/Engineering subject
- An acceptable level of relevant experience
gained within the Energy sector
- Experience of working with and developing
teams of different disciplines
- The successful candidate will be required to
meet certain UK residency criteria in order to attain a minimum level of MoD
security clearance. Candidates should therefore be willing to undergo a
security vetting process.
- Confident individual with the ability to lead
teams and develop the business
- Keen interest in renewable energy and
sustainability
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written
communication skills
- Flexibility to travel to other locations
- Positive outlook and approachable manner
- Ability to be flexible and to be able to
multi-task and priorities when necessary
- Ability to build and maintain strong business
relationships with internal and external clients and other contracts
