Position Summary

As BPA's Greenhouse Gas (GHG)/CO2 Policy Strategist you are the senior technical consultant and advisor to BPA management on the development and implementation of strategic goals and objectives, policies, and programs related to global, national, regional, and local GHG/CO2 issues and their relative impact to BPA mission, responsibilities, and business services and products. You advise the BPA Administrator and other senior management, providing programmatic guidance and direction to the development, implementation, and leadership of the overall BPA GHG/CO2 reduction strategy and programs. The operating environment of this position is composed of a large number of highly complex regulatory, contractor, public, political, and interagency relationships, all of which must be managed with a very high order of skill, knowledge, tact and discretion, and judgment.

Qualifications

Desirable candidates will have experience as the senior technical consultant and advisor to senior management of a large organization on the development and implementation of strategic goals and objectives, policies, and programs related to global, national, regional, and local GHG/CO2 issues and their relative impact on the organization's mission, responsibilities, and business services and products.
