Permitting Lead - Abu Dhabi

Our Permitting Lead will:

  • Develop and maintain relationships with regulatory agencies and personnel.
  • Plan and guide the activities of the permitting teams to obtain permits per the permitting plan.
  • Modify the permitting plan based on emerging issues.
  • Interface with program leads to ensure the permitting plan remains in synch with program priorities.
  • Supervise the development and processing of permits.
  • Assess the permitting process and performance and adjusting as needed.

The Emirates Nuclear Energy Corporation (ENEC) aims to achieve both as it seeks to build a clean, environmentally friendly, civil nuclear power program for the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

As Managing Agent, CH2M HILL will assist ENEC in assuring the successful implementation of any Civil Nuclear Power Program introduced in the UAE through all phases, including program development beyond the conceptual phase. These responsibilities include implementation of owner's responsibilities to comply with International Atomic Energy Agency recommendations, master program planning, and licensing and permitting associated with nuclear and support facilities.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Experience permitting major nuclear projects
  • 10 years experience on engineering projects
  • International permitting experience preferable, but not required
  • BA degree, in environmental sciences preferable, but not required
