THE ROLE -
Working within our Environmental and Site Development Department, you will use your knowledge of oceanography, hydrodynamics and software processing using matlab/java, to drive forward the progression of modelling within Cooke Aquaculture using NewDEPOMOD/hydrodynamic software.
This position will see the successful candidate model/present new and existing Cooke Aquaculture seawater sites, along with assisting in the development of the software, both in house and within the industry steering group, which will enable them to contribute positively to the sustainable growth of the Company.
In addition to the above modelling role, you will assist with a range of environmental and development duties, which will be discussed at interview.
The ideal candidate will be educated to BSc standard in a relevant discipline and have either similar experience in the sector using NewDEPOMOD, or have experience using mathematical models to determine impacts and be able to run these from the command line, using matlab/java platforms. . Knowledge of marine biology would be advantageous to enable the successful candidate interpret model outputs. The candidate must be able to work proactively and collaboratively.
Travel throughout our operations will be required as and when necessary, therefore you must be flexible to travel and have a Full UK Driving Licence.
