This is Short Knowledge Partnership project with the University of Cumbria.
A highly motivated and goal driven Graduate is required to work on a project jointly funded by Lake District National Park Authority (LDNPA) and the Technology Strategy Board (TSB) under the Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) scheme. The appointment will be for ten weeks with the possibility of future employment with the University of Cumbria engaged in a full KTP of at least two years duration, following successful project completion. The KTP will help to develop an integrated plan for the future management of land-based carbon in the LDNPA, which includes land management stakeholders from the outset, using participatory technology design approach.
Your main duties will include engaging and communicating with both internal and external staff and partners, carrying out a review of existing information in relation to carbon storage, land management practices and alternative land management delivery routes and start to develop a carbon management toolkit for implementation within the Lake District National Park.
You will demonstrate professionalism, technical competence, good interpersonal and communication skills and will have the ability to work independently as well as within a team.
