Flood and Coastal Risk Management Officer
Title: Flood and Coastal Risk Management Officer - Staff Grade 3
You will be supporting Teams across Flood & Coastal Risk Management, who between them cover the Thames Valley and parts of Surrey, to deliver their flood risk goals. You will support the Teams in their work to determine Flood Risk Permits, providing data to members of the public and helping to co-ordinate the teams workload. You will also support our teams to ensure are readiness for incident response through tasks such as roster co-ordination and ensuring our incident room is fully operational.
PSO co-ordinates our relationship with other flood risk management authorities. We compile, manage and use the best available evidence through our mapping, modelling and data work to inform our long term strategic plans and investment programme. We work with internal and external partners to plan and deliver future projects, securing funding and ensuring efficiencies are made. We also service data requests, determine Flood Risk Permits and provide technical FCRM advice to planning authorities.
