When you join the Regional Environmental Planning Team, you'll help us find out why. Using data on waste management to influence and support policies, you'll have a major impact on the future of waste management in the region. This role involves collating, manipulating, interpreting and presenting waste management data using programmes including Access, Business Objects and GIS. It also involves working closely with a range of contacts from regional and local government and the waste management industry. As our principal officer, you'll be seen as a source of expertise by these people and by colleagues inside Environment Agency. It follows that you must be a strong communicator who can advise non-experts and deliver convincing arguments about sustainable waste management. We're looking for a graduate with a background in waste management or waste regulation, and knowledge of related policy and legislation. If this sounds like you, get in touch.
